Description

Houblon de la Motte has been growing, harvesting and drying organic Comet hops and processing them into pellets in Flanders (59) since 2020.

This variety is one of those selected for its vigour, aroma qualities and disease resistance.
The grower has been growing hops organically since 2017 and obtained certification in 2021.

Larger planting projects are under way with the same grower, and elsewhere in France too.

Released at the same time as Cascade hops by the USDA in the United States, Comet hops are used for both aroma and bittering by brewers around the world.

Dual-purpose hop, for both bittering and aroma.
